That These Things Could BeOurs
Robert Skoro

Robert Skoro first found his way onto the scene as an essential component of Mason Jennings' band, but with the release of "That These Things Could Be Ours," the 24-year-old Minneapolis singer-songwriter's Yep Roc debut, Skoro steps out front with a batch of gorgeously sculpted, orchestrated pop songs that call to mind the Shins, Pernice Brothers and Wilco's Jeff Tweedy.
In his early 20s, the producer/multi-instrumentalist turned his attention to writing and recording his own material. Only a month after the release of his self-released debut, "Proof," and with barely two gigs behind him, the Minneapolis City Pages had already named him their Artist of the Year calling his music "sweet enough to overcome the sourest of grapes."

Now with That These Things Could Be Ours, recorded at Chicago's Engine studio with Brian Deck (Red Red Meat, Fruitbats, Modest Mouse and more) Skoro comes into his own with a batch of songs that bear the unique quality of being personal yet anthemic. Standard Jewel Case.
